Big news! The guys over at Hungry Ear are putting together the first annual Hawaii Record Fair this August! There's gonna be tons of vinyl records, plus giveaways, food trucks, live music (a DJ spinning records, of course!) and more.

Hawaii Record Fair 2012
If you've been following my adventures this year, you already know that 2012 has been a helluva year for digging in Hawaii.
First, I scored 100 records for $10 at Harry's Music Store when they closed down (and I made a few free mixtapes, too). Then, there was the massive record sale at a warehouse in Kaka‘ako, brought to you by the Friends of the Library of Hawaii. After that, it was the annual book sale at McKinley, which brought a few nice surprises to the table, including these LPs.
Needless to say, I can't wait for the Hawaii Record Fair to go down on August 5th, 2012.
Mark your calendars, this is going to be a big event.
Admission is $3. But, bring a friend along and it's $5 for two people. Nice!
