This tour was organized by RUSH Production with Yasushi and Fumitaka Takayama, and Ittetsu Asai. They have a "sense" for producing events and pairing artists with possibilities — an ability that is hard to find these days with so many distractions and trends hitting us every day. RUSH knows how to slow down, to see the forest for the trees, to believe in the long-term potential our efforts have today for the sake of tomorrow (while still remaining in the moment). Mahalo to RUSH for making this tour possible! We appreciate your expertise, trust and support.

In conjunction with the tour, we're releasing a pair of CD compilations with Ultra-Vybe. Each CD contains about 20 tracks and was compiled by Roger Bong, O'Spliff, and Max High:
Sunset Drive is a soundtrack for cruising around the island, whether you’re behind the wheel or in the back of a pickup truck. The mountains and cliffs greet you at every turn, the ocean always by your side (or just around the bend). You don’t need a destination — just press play and enjoy the journey.
Seaside Vibes is a soundtrack for kicking back wherever time slows down, especially at the beach. These songs are both calming and spacious, inspiring a sense of wonder and gratitude for our islands. Harmony awaits — its frequencies embeded in this music and in the beauty around you.
The artwork for both CDs was designed by Riley Nakamura aka Unko Riley.
I first met Unko Riley in Chinatown Honolulu at Kaiao Space, who were hosting artist Nani Welch Keliʻihoʻomalu that weekend. The connection strengthen months later when I met Royce Fishermen, a close friend of Riley's and someone he'd been designing album artwork for all his releases — Riley developed a character for Royce, see on the covers for his releases in 2023 and 2024.
Riley's own original characters appear in the cover for "My Side", and are prominent in the artwork for both Sunset Drive and Seaside Vibes:
The CDs are slated for official release in Japan on September 18th, 2024. We'll have a limited number of copies available via our record store, AGS Honolulu.
We'll have more information about these two CDs closer to the official street date.
