Watch our latest all-Hawaiian 7” set for The Vinyl Factory's VF Live

Mixes Video

"Working, weaving, working, toiling, toiling... weaving... working... weaving... A miracle in Hawai‘i."

Oliver Seguin opens up the third set for The Vinyl Factory's VF Live series — where DJs and selectors take you inside their HQs, record shops, and studios for intimate sets and mixes —with a haunting (and rare) 45 on Genoa Keawe Records, the late great Hawaiian singer's imprint for her own recordings and release from musicians she supported.

For Aloha Got Soul’s latest VF Live show, Oliver and Roger Bong spotlight the sun-kissed sounds of Hawaii during the ‘60s and ‘70s with standout selections in garage, psych, and pop. This is the latest installment in the ongoing VF Live series that spotlights vinyl collectors and selectors around the world — from LA’s J. Rocc to Bangkok’s Maft Sai.

Across their intimate 60-minute set, we creates a delightful offering of sunshine oddities and fuzzed-out jams featuring local artists like D & The Sugar Cane Factory, Gordon Broad, Tina Santiago, Richard Reb'll, and several yet-to-be-Googleable* tracks from the islands.

(*We're working feverishly to license many of tracks for reissue on Aloha Got Soul — stay tuned!)

These are the sounds that connect us to home, that bring us closer to the land and the people of these islands. Enjoy~
