The second annual Hawaii Record Fair was good times for all, a full day of cruising with friends while browsing (not elbowing) through the thousands of LPs and 45s as well as CDs, cassettes and memorabilia—there was even audiophile equipment available for purchase (more like for investment) if you had enough funds to drop in one day.

Thank you Hungry Ear Records for inviting Aloha Got Soul to be a sponsor again this year. They graciously had a table ready for me and a few of my Dig This Vibe buddies a table where we could sell records, t-shirts, CDs, and whatever else.

I’m grateful to be supporting one of Oahu’s mainstay record stores, which first opened in 1980.

Here’s a few of my favorite flicks from the fair:

Missed this year’s (and last year’s) Hawaii Record Fair?

Check out my 2012 recap and my reasoning on why the fair is vital to our local music community.

  1. Hope you had a good day Roger, did you manange to find some goodies (such as a Al Nobriga And The Island Company) for yourself?
