Babadu Babadu ST LP 1979

Babadu LP has surfaced online

My favorite Stevie Wonder-esque Hawaiian funk and soul singer, Babadu, recently made an appearance online—via download. I. love. this. album. Each song immediately paints my mood with sunny, aloha-inspired energy. Please remember, Aloha Got Soul is not the kind of Hawaiian music blog that willingly uploads Hawaiian music for free download. Every download you see here is found via the web, I did not upload them.

The 1979 Self-Titled "Babadu!" LP

Babadu’s real name was Solomon K. Davis III. He was married to Nani Kinimaka-Davis. One of their daughters, Kea Milo-Davis, is a R&B soul singer in Hawaii. Kea was part of the entertainment group Fab 4 (Hawaii) until their farewell in 2010.

Proud to be your sister, your music I will always remember growing up, as you would always entertain during school events and Hawaiian musical events. You never ceased to amaze me or the people who knew you as you would always pick up that ukulele and with your awesome voice make all who knows you so proud! So talented and gifted and always apart of me.
